What Are Engraved Plastic Signs?
Engraved plastic signs can be made for both interior and exterior use. We engrave custom desk name plates, magnetic and pin-backed nametags, directory slats, meter tags, trophies, plaques, pocket badges, informational signs, equipment tags, labels, and more. Engraved plastic signs are usually made from high density polyethylene sheets (HDPE, also known as ColorCore), phenolic plastics, ABS plastics, or impact acrylic.
Double-Sided Tape
Applying double-sided tape to the back of your sign allows you to stick it directly to most surfaces. This eliminates the need for holes to be drilled into walls, while also completely supporting your sign. Double-sided tape is generally recommended for small plastic opaque signage.
Standoffs
Standoffs give dimension to your signage by taking it off the wall slightly. This is a perfect look for a professional setting with a high end look. Standoffs are screw mounted onto the walls and then the sign face is placed on them and a cap is screwed on, to hold it in place. Standoffs are generally recommended for interior panel-based signage.
Velcro
Velcro is perfect for signage that needs to be rotated between, or replaced frequently, and for surfaces on which standard fastening methods don’t work. For example, upholstered cubicles can use hook velcro adhesed to the sign and then velcroed directly onto the fabric.
Exterior Screws
Using exterior screws is a guaranteed way of making sure your sign doesn’t come down unless you intend for it to. There are several different type of screws that can be used, including, drywall screws with anchors, stainless steel screws, and ceramic coated screws. Alternatively, the use of tamper proof screws prevents the removal of a sign without a special tool.
